Casa Iris is situated on the Cota 1400 Road, at only 500 meters from the Sinaia telegondola.
People come to Sinaia for the region’s natural beauty and for the seasonal sports. Apart from that, the main tourist attraction is the Peleș Castle, built in the 19th century by King Carol I, in the German Neo-Renaissance style. The 160 rooms, priceless collections of art, arms, tapestry and furniture are open for tourist visit.
Another tourist interest is the Sinaia Monastery, which named the city. Mihail Cantacuzino built it in 1695 after he had visited the Mount Sinai, in The Holy Country. Built in the Brâncovenesc style, it is today a religious art museum.
If you want to go hiking, you can first take the cable car, which connects the city with the upper plateau of the Bucegi Mountains. This is the starting point for most of the hiking routes.
